Tough love is a mandated part of being a Domme. It is near impossible to get a sub to their optimal quality and space without delving out harsh punishments. Ice cold water is not difficult for all - to be sure, there are many subs that could reasonably endure this punishment with some ease. I personally hate cold water, and always have, to the extent that My parents made sure our swimming pool was always set at a minimum of 90 degrees Fahrenheit (30 celsius) for Me. Otherwise, they knew I'd never go in. You will never catch Me in any body of water people may describe as "refreshing". So I know what it is like for people like Me who have strong aversions to cold water to have to feel it on our skin. And many people do share this aversion, oftentimes in the same severity as Me or even more. I liken cold water punishment to breath deprivation, in the sense that it's very difficult to manage cognitively. Unlike food deprivation, for example, one can forget or even reduce the effects of hunger pains if they stay busy enough. I can go days without eating should I need to and it wouldn't be all that uncomfortable if I managed My mind around it. But cold water, like breath deprivation, is so jarring and anxiety-provoking that it's near impossible for those with cold sensitivities to block out the sensation. Some of you who have sessioned with Me have received cold water punishment, many of whom truly entered a different space and were broken by this. That was the case with this slave. I could tell immediately when We announced it was getting cold water punishment that it would not endure well. You can see by its body language how badly we broke it. But, that's the natural consequence of failing a task. I have zero empathy for this pup.
