When I say I like a slave locked up, I really mean it. There are different layers of locking/restraining. By layers, I'm referring to both tangible and psychological layers which are inherently interrelated. What I mean by this is that the more physical locks you have on a slave, the more psychologically restrained it feels. For example, a slave will feel far more psychologically restrained when they are locked both in chastity and in a dog kennel. Similarly, they will feel more restrained when there are multiple locks on a dog kennel versus a single lock. Which brings Me to this clip. When I first saw the kennel I noticed it was sturdy, but also felt that a human slave could break out of it with enough force should it be inclined to do so. I didn't perceive that the trial live-in would try to break out; I knew it would accept its submission to the kennel simply because I directed it to do so. Further, I assessed that the discomfort of trying to break out of the cage would be greater than the discomfort of sleeping in it. This is to say that if the slave deeply resisted being in the kennel, it would likely just accept a poor night's sleep over the struggle of trying to beat down the barriers of a metal cage. The sticking point here is the differentiation between 'would' versus 'could'; at the kennel's initial state with a single lock, the slave likely WOULDN'T attempt a break out - but that doesn't mean it COULDN'T do so successfully. I'm very sure the slave made this assessment as quickly as I did after seeing the kennel set up for the first time. This is a problem because the perception that a slave could physically break out of a restraint weakens the psychological layer of restraint. I want a cage for which a slave would not, and could not, break out of if it tried - that even in the case of a fire, it is completely dependent on Me and My good will to release it to save its life. I want My slaves to know they have resigned all absolute power and all control to Me. Depleting someone of their agency to this degree is what differentiates a session from a real-life, long-term D/s relationship. This is true submission. And it is this form of power I crave and maintain with My long-term slaves. Hence the use of five heavy duty metal locks versus one.
