My boss noticed it and, instead of criticizing me, simply talked to me. Calmly, humanly. He told me I needed to rest and sent me home.
You know, I’ve been thinking a lot: is it okay to show your emotions? Now I realize it was necessary. We’re not machines, and sometimes it’s important to let yourself be vulnerable.
