These pictures are from when I got stuck in the Rocky Mountains due to a unannounced snow storm.☃️ I went to visit the Stanley Hotel (which was an inspiration for the film ‘The Shining’. It also appeared in the very popular and funny film “Dumb and Dumber”, but the hotel was shown under a different name as the Danbury Hotel.) Before leaving my hotel in Denver, I checked this app, that the concierge told me to use, to depict the snow throughout Colorado. It showed that it would not be snowing, so from there I decided to make the hour long drive to visit the hotel and have a drink at the bar. On my way to the Stanley Hotel there was no sight of snow and after 40 minutes I head out into a snow storm.🥴 My car would not grip the road, sliding over the icy roads I got stuck in the snow. Fire fighters helped me out and brought me to a near by hotel, where I waited out the storm. Meanwhile, back in Denver my two pups (Rambo & Lolo) were at the hotel. Worrying about them only amplified the stressful situation. The following morning when the roads finally opened up I walked to the fire station, got my car, and headed back to Denver. As soon as I reached my hotel, I ran from my car, past the front desk, to my room, and opened the door to the two sweetest, calm, furry faces. (puppies were safe and sound🙏🏻.) I now have this eventful memory forever.😄 Happy Hump Day and looking forward to sharing more with you. 🥰😘
