I went on this cool tour in an old school VW van from a comapny aptly named "Painted ladies",ate dungeness crab, visited Alcatraz island (the alcatraz cruise and tour was the highlight of the trip and must see if you ever visit SF), brunched at the Neiman Marcus Rotunda, and got to see the Tonga Tiki Room at the Fairmont hotel. Lol I did not eat at the Tiki Room as the wait was too long... but Anthony Bourdain covered it on his shiw once... if you love kitsch, Polynesian food, and authentic Tiki lounges... I highly suggest visiting. I learned that SF is filled with micro climates. If you don't like the weather in one neighborhood... just walk a few blocks... it can be sunny and hot in one area and if you walk just a few blocks over it may be cold and chilly.
